The 2025 Rice Income Insurance program is available until August 31st. Farmers are encouraged to take advantage of this time purchase insurance
This insurance is available in basic enhanced versions:#Basic type
All legally registered rice farmers are required to purchase insurance. To simplify the application process, starting in 2025, farmers can complete the insurance process simply by filling out a rice planting declaration form ( https://jobsincambs.com/ ). No separate authorization form is required. The premium is fully subsidized by the Ministry of Agriculture. The compensation st ard is based on a yield reduction of more than 20% from the benchmark yield of each township (town, city, district). Starting in 2025, each hectare will receive a compensation of NT$20,000. However, any amount already received as natural disaster h relief fthe insured rice fields during the same period should be deducted.

To protect rice farmers from yield losses due to natural disasters other accidents, a risk management tool is provided through voluntary insurance. Starting from fiscal year 2025, those who deliver rice to the national grain reserve are also eligible to purchase enhanced insurance. The Ministry of Agriculture subsidizes half of the premium, with some local governments providing additional subsidies. Farmers only need to pay a minimum of 10% of the premium to receive at least 60% coverage. Due to premium payment requirements, farmers are advised to apply at their local farmers' association.
The second-phase crop compensation st ard is that as long as the benchmark yield of each township (town, city, district) is reduced by more than 10%, the compensation will be initiated. The more severe the yield reduction, the more compensation will be paid. If the rice fields in the same period have already received agricultural natural disaster h relief, this enhanced insurance will be affected the compensation will still be paid.
